So, where to begin? A year or so ago, Ann & I realised that three years into our somewhat vague five year plan to change our lifestyle we had done…

Just returned from a wonderful weekend with my 7 year old. Jim and Ann were fantastic hosts and created a real home from home experience. Room was lovely and very comfortable, breakfast was fantastic! Will definitely be returning, much at the request of my 7 year old who has some adoptive grandparents it seems!! Thanks for a brilliant weekend.

Stayed at the old Manor House, in the annex Conifer cottage. Lovely place to stay, with your own door. The accommodation was superb, and the hosts were fantastic. Great place, highly recommended. Would stay again

A really comfortable stay, in a lovely house, with a superbly comfortable bed, great facilities and a great breakfast every day. Ann and Jim, the new owners, couldn't have made me more welcome - I'll definitely be back!

The Old Manor is a gorgeous property with wonderful gardens. We stayed in the garden room which was a spacious and bright room with a comfortable bed and good shower. The room included a mini fridge with fresh milk in a glass bottle) and chilled filtered water. The breakfast was also delicious!

Stayed overnight with Ann and Jim and received wonderfull service, with a comfortable room and bed. Room had a mini fridge with fresh milk and filtered water as that from the tap is heavily chlorinated.Superb breakfast and even given some buttered plum bread to take away. Off road parking and the Axe and Cleaver a 5 minute walk away for an evening meal.

Excellent facilities with very comfy beds and bedding with plenty of hot water and soft white towels. The very friendly hosts and a wonderful choice for breakfast made our stay absolutely wonderful. 10 out of 10!

The owners Anne and Jim where very helpful and freindly in a genuine and relaxed way,offering good advice and information about the area. Our breakfast was very good and Anne gave us some lincolnshire plum bread as we left,which we enjoyed later.

This is the place to stay if you're based in North Somercotes. Centre of the village; next door to shop and post office; near two other mini-market type shops; walking distance to the Axe and Cleaver pub (with good range of meals); and an Italian restaurant. We stayed in the self-catering cottage in October. Nice and cosy. Friendly hosts.
